Prophet Eric Kwasi Amponsah, Founder and Leader of the Hope Generation Ministry at Oblogo near Accra on Sunday urged Ghanaians to unite for the development of the country.
He said divisive tendencies such as ethnicity retards development and should be eschewed in the society, adding that Ghanaians are “one entity for Christ.”
He said the elections are over and there was the need for oneness for the nation to forge ahead.
Prophet Amponsah (aka Computerman) gave the advice at the church’s second get-together to fete children and the aged, which draw over 6,000 church members from the regions.
He said President Atta Mills must be given the due respect whether “he is young or old” because he is the one the people have elected to lead the nation and therefore Ghanaians should support him to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
On the December 7 statutory date for voting, Prophet Amponsah said between that date and January 7 for the inauguration of the President was not enough, given the experience that the nation went through during the 2008 elections.
He therefore suggested that the election should be held on November 7 to create more room for transition of power.
Prophet Amponsah advised the youth, especially girls to concentrate on their education to become useful men and women in future.
