Reverend Yaw Danso, Chairman of the Volta Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana on Sunday advised Christians to reach out to people in deprived communities where evangelising is most needed.
He said the less privileged in society needed care, support and love from Christians and urged the youth in the church to see it as a duty to minister the word of God to them.
Rev. Danso was giving a sermon to mark this year's Youth and Students' week celebration of the Church at Asylum Down.
The celebration was on the theme: "The Role of the Youth in the Church - Reach out."
He mentioned communities like Sodom and Gomorrah and Agbobloshie as places of target for the Christian youth to evangelise, especially to the "kayayee" (porters.)
Rev. Danso said Christianity meant following Christ and obeying the word of God, and urged the youth to solely depend on God for their livelihood and not worldly lifestyles.
"Do not be in haste to get money, but rather trust in God, knowing that He is the provider," he advised.
