Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the National Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is due in Ghana on Wednesday for a three-day visit.
While in Ghana, the Chairman, whose position equals that of Speaker of Parliament, would make a courtesy call on Ghana's President John Agyekum Kufour and sign a number of bilateral agreements.
Jones Kugblenu, Director of Public Affairs of the Office of Parliament told Journalists that Mr Qinglin would also hold a bilateral meeting with Speaker of Parliament, Ebenezer Sekyi Hughes and the Leadership of Ghana's Parliament.
Mr Qinglin would also cut a sod for a new office building for the Ministry of Defence in Accra and attend a dinner in his honour to be hosted by Ghana's Speaker of Parliament.
