The rescued, Chinese girls whose sweat and toil filled the pockets of the slave master, King James Xu Jin have told The New Weekend Crusading Guide in an exclusive interview that they were so thankful to be freed and that they would never allow themselves to be lured into the dehumanizing, sex trade again.
The Chinese victims appealed to the Chinese Government, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MOWAC), International Organization of Migration (IOM), UNICEF, Enslavement Prevention Alliance West Africa (EPAWA) and other NGOs to assist them in their safe return to their home country of China. The victims have also reiterated that some of the money that they earned from the illegal sex trade was given to the traffickers before the raid on Saturday, February 14, 2009, and hence are urging security authorities to retrieve their rightfully earned money.
“We gave our contributions to King James because he was about to go to China, we wanted him to take the money to our families but before he could go, the raid happened. Once we are on our way back to China, he should give us our money back,” one of the girls said.
Meanwhile, the slave master and his cohorts have been remanded in police custody by an Accra Circuit Court presided over by Ms. Elizabeth Ankumah to enable the police to conduct further investigations into this case.
A Toyota salon car with registration number GE 9314 W, which was seized by the police on the day of the raid has been impounded; the said car is believed to have been used to transport the victims to their clients.
According to ACP Agbozo of the Police Criminal Investigation Department, during the investigation, the slave master, King James Xu Jin, confessed that he and his wife, Chou Xiou Ying, brought the victims into the country while Sam, another defendant in custody, was responsible for delivering them to their clients in and outside Accra.
It would be recalled that in the 17th -23rdFebbruary, 2009 edition of The New Crusading Guide with the headline “UNDERCOVER INSIDE THE CHINESE SEX MAFIA…How Trafficked Chinese Girls Are Sexually Exploited And Beaten In Ghana Nigeria And Togo. They Are Sold for 6,000 dollars per Girl.”
The paper threw more light on the modus operendi of the Chinese Sex Mafia and their activities in Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, and Kenya. The story uncovered as a result of six months of back breaking, painstaking work by our ace investigative reporter. It was followed with a February 18th-25th February, 2009 edition of The New Crusading Guide with the headline “I WILL SLASH YOUR THROAT…Victims Of Chinese Sex Mafia Threatened, Three More Girls On The Run. Chinese Govt. Intervenes In Saga”, which brought to light threats issued by the sex mafia to the rescued victims.
This paper is reliably informed that the girls are safe and are having a good time at their hideout shelter.
