The Chief Justice, Justice George Acquah has died. He died at the 37 Military Hospital here in Accra at 1am.
He has been out of the country for treatment in India and the United States of America for cancer until Saturday when he was flown back to Ghana.
He died of cancer.
Justice Acquah was appointed Chief Justice in June 2003.
When Joy News visited the home this morning there were visible signs that some relatives of the late Chief Justice were gathering at his Cantonments residence.
