Nana Yaw Adusei, Omanhene of Sankore Traditional Area, has appealed to the Ministry of Health to upgrade the Sankore Health Centre into a hospital.
He told the GNA that the centre was built during the Second Republic and needed to be upgraded into a hospital considering the increased population in the area.
Nana Yaw Edusei said the centre was established in the same year as the Nyinahin Health Centre in Ashanti Region but the latter had been upgraded into a hospital.
He said the chiefs and people recently rehabilitated the building.
