A 39-year old crippled Customs and Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS)officer, Edmund Effah has been arrested by the Police for allegedly burning the chest of his 14-year-old son, Edmund Effah (JNR) with a pressing iron.
The Crime Officer in charge of the Accra North- East Police Divisional Headquarters, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Apenteng Baffour said the father of the boy had informed his son not to tell anyone of his where about even when he is at home.
He said his son disobeyed the order by entering the room of his father to inform him that someone was looking for him.
DSP Baffour said this infuriated Effah who plugged the pressing iron and inflicted wounds on his son while he was asleep.
The boy went to the Madina Police Station and lodged a complaint leading to his arrest.
DSP Baffour said the Effah would appear in court after investigations had been completed.
