Alhassan Labaran, Chief Executive Officer of Buggies Phones, dealers in mobile phones and accessories on Tuesday died in a fatal accident at Nadieso, near Nkawkaw when his BMW saloon car in which he was travelling from Accra ran into a culvert and somersaulted several times.
The vehicle caught fire as a result of the crash and burnt several boxes of mobile phones, which he was conveying to Kumasi.
Sergeant Manassah Obimpeh of the Kantanso Police told the Ghana News Agency that nearby residents helped to retrieve some of the mobile phones from the wreckage and handed them over to the chief of the town until the Police arrived.
He said the vehicle, with registration number GR 8689 X, somersaulted several times before landing by the road side, killing the deceased instantly.
