Ghanaian gospel singer Celestine Donkor is bouncing back with a mega edition of her annual concert dubbed Celestial Praiz after taking a break last year.
The 11th edition of the Celestial Praiz event is scheduled for March 9, 2025, at the Dominion Sanctuary of Victory Bible Church in Awoshie, Accra.
This year’s edition themed I Do a New Thing is loaded with various activities aimed at elevating the gospel music ministry. The theme is inspired by Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
This year, Celestine Donkor is more focused on re-aligning and redirecting the focus of Celestial Praiz to empower church music.
In her bid to bring church choirs closer to the Celestine Donkor Music Ministry and brand, the 2025 edition of Celestial Praiz will be preceded by two sessions of Intimate Worship Time with singers. Through this initiative some choir groups will get the opportunity to minister at the event in March.
The gospel minstrel has also introduced Campus Gospel with Celestine Donkor, another initiative aimed at making the gospel attractive to our young ones. The first edition was held on 31st January, 2025 at the Crown and Glory School in Gbaweh. This initiative will be sustained through funding by the Celestine Donkor Ministries and partners.
Apart from Celestine Donkor who is the headline artiste, Celestial Breed, her newly formed gospel music group, will perform at Celestial Praiz. The group, made up Celestine’s backing vocalists of over a decade, released their maiden single titled ‘You’re Amazing’ a few days ago.
Celestial Praiz 2025 also features Minister GUC of Nigeria, Zaza Mokhathi of South Africa, Ps Edwin Dadson, Kwaku Teye, among others.
Not only is Celestine Donkor introducing new things into her plan for this year’s event; she is also hopeful that God is going to greatly impact the lives of patrons of the programme by doing new things in their lives.
