The Former Minister of Water and Sanitation, Cecilia Dapaah has told the Accra High Court on Wednesday, March 12, that she is unable to tell how much each of the accused had stolen from her storage room.
She was giving evidence as the complainant on the second day of her testimony in the ongoing criminal trial of her former housemaids.
JoyNews' Latif Iddrisu Bamba said Madam Dapaah was under cross-examination by the lawyer representing the second accused, identified only as Sarah."
"As the proceedings continued, Sarah became visibly emotional and, towards the end of the day's session, broke down in tears."
"She interrupted the proceedings to confront the former minister over a point of evidence involving jewelry boxes. According to Sarah, the boxes in question belonged to her, not Dapaah, despite the minister's claims of ownership."
On her first appearance at the Court on Tuesday, March 11, the former Minister claimed that her former housemaids stole her jewellery, valued at $53,000.
