Carlos Ahenkorah

Even before the Deputy Trade Minister Carlos Ahenkorah sent his resignation to the president, Ghanaians on social media were demanding his head.

This comes after he visited a mass voters’ registration centre despite being coronavirus positive.

The Tema West MP said he was aware of his status and therefore adhered to social distancing and other protocols when he was out.

He said he went to the centres because he did not want much speculation from his constituents about his absence at the start of the registration.

However, intense pressure is mounting on the one time MP to resign from all public offices.
