Cameroon secure Slovakia draw

Midfielder Enoh Eyong scored in the 83rd minute on Saturday to give Cameroon a 1-1 draw with Slovakia in a friendly between two World Cup teams. Eyong slid the ball home past goalkeeper Dusan Kociak after sloppy defending by Slovakia to score Cameroon's first goal in three matches. The team was still without key striker Samuel Eto'o, who has threatened to walk out of the World Cup after criticism by former player Roger Milla. Eto'o was given time to rest after winning the Champions League final with Inter Milan last week. Cameroon put pressure on Slovakia for most of the match but created only a few chances. Midfielder Kamil Kopunek gave Slovakia an early lead with a shot from 20 yards out in the sixth minute. Slovakia substitute Stanislas Sestak appeared to make it 2-0 early in the second half when his shot hit the cross bar and the ball seemed to bounce back into the field from behind the line, but the referee did not blow the whistle. Slovakia play New Zealand, Paraguay and Italy in Group F, while Cameroon are in Group E with Japan, Denmark and the Netherlands at the World Cup finals in South Africa. Source: BBC
