The Vice-Chancellor pointed out that graduate unemployment in Ghana currently is due to a mismatch between the available jobs and the products churned out from the country’s tertiary institutions and that this partnership will help address this challenge.

On his part, Mr. Abel Cudjoe, explained that the main purpose of the academic partnership is to create student experts in this Industry-demanding technology while in school, in order to give them the competitive advantage in the job market after school, thereby reducing graduate unemployment.

“This is in line with CaB Royale’s vision of equipping people to be able to imagine, design and create things using modern CAD and BIM Technology,” Mr. Cudjoe further explained.

CaB Royale Ltd as part of the agreement will offer the latest industry-specific Autodesk software lessons to the university and also set up BIM Technology Centres in the school’s computer laboratories and provide certified local and international product experts or trainers.

Students after completion, will obtain the Autodesk Certified User Certificate, which is internationally recognised as a relevant certificate in the engineering and architectural industry.

Students will also be prepared to participate in local and international competitions organised by Autodesk and CaB Royale Ltd in order to build their capacity and confidence.

Ms. Oforiwaa Adu, the administrator of CaB Royale Ltd, emphasised that the company will soon enter into similar partnerships with other universities in order to help as many students as possible to be industry ready.

The beneficiary faculties are; Built and Natural Environment, Engineering and Technology, Applied Sciences and Technology, Creative Arts and Technology and the Institute of Research Innovation and Development.
