At least 1000 businesses in all 16 regions of the country have benefited from government’s the Coronavirus Alleviation Programme Business Support Scheme (CAP BuSS).
The support which was initiated by the government in May 2020 to support businesses which have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and distributed by the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) has reached all corners of the country in its disbursement.
In total, about 237,518 businesses have so far benefited from government’s stimulus package under the CAP BuSS of which 185,000 of them are in the microeconomic sector.

- Ashanti Region - 52, 182
- Greater Accra Region – 40, 549
- Eastern Region – 33, 614
- Central Region – 25, 497
- Western Region – 17, 928
- Northern Region – 10, 994
- Volta Region – 10, 558
- Western North Region – 7, 912
- Bono Region – 7, 512
- Upper East Region – 7, 290
- Ahafo Region – 5, 450
- Bono East Region – 5, 342
- Savannah Region – 3, 833
- Upper West Region- 2, 826
- Oti Region – 2, 242
- North East Region – 1, 451
NBSSI continues to support businesses badly hit by the Covid-19. Last week, application for the Nkosuo program, introduced by NBSSI in partnership with MasterCard Foundation came to a successful end recording over 400,000 applications.
