The Police on Friday arrested Mr John Awunbila, Assistant Bursar of Bawku Senior High School, for carrying two AK 47 rifles, a pistol and some ammunition into the Bawku township.
Mr Awunbila, who initially gave his name as Jonas Atibil, was riding a motorbike and had the weapons concealed in his brief case.
Mr Peter Mawong, Bawku Divisional Police Commander, told the GNA that Mr Awunbila has been detained at the Police station pending further investigations.
