Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has been nominated for a Grammy Award.

The artiste’s ‘African Giant’ album was nominated for the Best World Music Album alongside four other internationally recognised albums.

The ‘Anybody’ hitmaker released the album that went viral internationally on July 26.

The album’s popularity got Burna Boy on many platforms including ‘The Daily Show’ with Trevor Noah, Jimmy Kimmel Live and many others.

Burna Boy is competing with Altin Gün from Amsterdam, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet and Benin’s Angelique Kidjo for the award.

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled for January 26, 2020, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

It will recognize the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, running from October 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019.
