The national under 17 team of Burkina Faso, the Stallions on Tuesday, May 28, beat Cote d’Ivoire’s Little Elephants 3-1 to win the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B Championship trophy at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Burkina Faso took the lead earlier but the Ivorians equalised few minutes later as both teams went into the break leveled at 1-1.
Two goals in the second half sealed the 3-1 victory for Burkina Faso.
