The Ghanaian wedding planner and team lead of the event planning firm, Whitechalk, Bryan Tachie-Menson, asserts that many people dream of having a fairy tale wedding but often lack the finances and support.

In an interview on the Prime Morning Show on Friday, he stated that he and his production team are dedicated to making these dreams come true.

He explained that the fairytale wedding initiative is a project by Magic House, a production company that has set aside time and resources to assist those who cannot afford their weddings.

“Some years ago, we decided to give back to society because the wedding industry is vast, and many people are doing fantastic work,” Tachie-Menson said. He noted that he and his team organised the first “My Fairytale Wedding,” where everything the couple received was free—from the gown to the ring, the food, the venue, the makeup, and all.

He emphasised that they offer luxurious weddings with A-List vendors providing top-tier services. “We ask people to tell us why they deserve this wedding and why they cannot afford one,” he explained.

Judges are responsible for selecting the most deserving and compelling stories from the applicants. "Everything will be paid for; you won't spend a dime," Tachie-Menson assured.

He explained that the motivation behind this initiative stems from his natural inclination to give back. “I enjoy giving, and we believe this is a way to give back. Our purpose on Earth is to support and be kind to each other.

“There are individuals who have always dreamt of a beautiful wedding but, for various reasons, genuinely cannot afford it. Why not make that dream come true?” he asked.

For those interested in applying, the wedding planner advised visiting the Magic House page, Magic House GH, to view the promo video, read the instructions, follow all the vendors, and send their story via DM to Magic House. “That’s all you have to do to be considered for a fairytale wedding.”

He mentioned that the application deadline is this Sunday, urging those with compelling and needy stories to apply quickly.

He also emphasised the importance of both partners and their families being informed and in agreement about the wedding to prevent any misunderstandings before assistance is provided.

“We encountered issues with a couple last year, so we want to ensure we select genuine people,” he concluded.
