Evans Charwetey Tsekobi, brother of Asem Dake aka Sheriff, the man allegedly behind the missing 76 parcels of cocaine on board the MV Benjamin vessel, has been discharged by an Accra Fast Track High Court.
Tsekobi's discharge followed the entering of a nolle prosequi by the Attorney General.
Mr William Kpobi, a Principal State Attorney, told the court, presided over by Mrs Justice Iris May Brown that apart from Sheriff parking his car in Tsekobi's house nothing incriminatory was against him (Tsekobi) during investigation.
The court therefore discharged him.
Speaking to journalists after his release, Tsekobi said he was happy that he was finally joining his family. Tsekobi who was remanded for nine months was facing a charge of laundering proceeds from a narcotic drug offence.
The court did not take his plea.
