Aduana Stars midfielder Bright Adjei has expressed delight at the global recognition received following his fantastic strike which earned his side a one all draw with Ashgold in the Ghana Premier league last Saturday.
Adjei’s goal of the season contender was nominated for the CNN World Goal of the Week award.
He was named by the global broadcaster to compete with Barcelona star Luis Suarez, Javier Cortés of Mexican side Pumas and Celtic star Tom Rogic for Goal of the Week award
“I’m really excited for this nomination, it makes me feel that our hard work here is been monitored elsewhere so I’m really happy,” he told Joy Sports
“This will encourage me to score more goals and as a striker that is exactly what you have to do.
“You realize Luiz Suarez scored a similar goal in the Champions league against Arsenal so I always learn from Suarez and I really want to do more.”
