A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Aid N Action, based in Breman Asikuma on Monday settled the medical bills of a patient with epilepsy and brain tumor at the Prestea Government Hospital in the Western Region.
The NGO paid an amount of 1,500 US dollars to the hospital on behalf of the patient miss Eunice Sarfow, 8, from Breman Asikuma.
The Executive Director of the NGO, Mr Aaron Mends made the presentation to the Medical Officer-in-charge of the Hospital Doctor Andrews G. Koomson.
Mr Aaron Mends said the gesture was as a result of an appeal made by the Breman Asikuma branch of the Church Of Christ, where Sarfow and the parent worship.
He said it is the wish of the NGO to assist people to become healthier to enable them to contribute towards the development of the society.
Dr Koomson thanked the NGO for coming to the aid of the patient and urged the organization and philanthropists to assist other people who need help.
