A boy, 17, has been stabbed to death over 50p worth of substances suspected to be Indian hemp in Takoradi.
Nana Banyin was stabbed by his friend Kweku Abeiku, who is currently in police custody.
The incident occurred during an argument over the actual price of the substance.
Joy News’ Kwaku Owusu Peprah reported that when he got to the scene Saturday morning, the victim was lying in a pool of blood.
The kitchen knife used for the dastardly act, lay beside the victim. He was stabbed on the back and on his neck.
Residents told Joy FM’s Western Regional Correspondent, such violent attacks are common in the ghettos in the town.
