The total volume exchanged on the secondary bond market for Government of Ghana papers maintained an upward trend last week.
Market turnover increased by 6.4% week-on-week to GH¢1.31 billion.
The February 2037 paper particularly dominated market activity with about half of the total weekly volume exchanged.
Additionally, there were improved exchanges across all the new bonds during the week’s trading sessions.
Analysts expect activity on the market to continue to improve as international investors have started dipping their toes back into Ghana’s local debt market.
Therefore, market activity is expected to be buoyant in the coming weeks.
