The Bole District Chief Executive, Madam Salamatu Forgor, has presented eleven motor-bikes to the District Directorate of Education, to help strengthen the monitoring and supervision of schools in the area.
The bikes, which were donated by the government, are to be distributed to Circuit Supervisors, Physical Education Instructors, Accountants and Human Resource Officers in the District Directorate of Education.
Madam Forgor said it is one of the government's priorities to promote quality education, to this end; it has made efforts towards addressing the infrastructural and transportation problems of schools.
According to Madam Forgor, school performance depends on effective monitoring and supervision and hoped with the provision of the motor bikes; the beneficiaries would have no excuse for not working.
She called on the users to take good care of the bikes. The District Director of Education, Moomen Alhassan, thanked the Assembly for the donation, which he said had been made at the opportune time.
He expressed optimism that the bikes would help promote effective teaching and learning in the district to ensure quality education.
In a related development, the District Chief Executive also handed-over a new ambulance, on behalf of the government to the Bole District Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony, she said an efficient and effective health care delivery system depends on a number of factors, including the availability of a good transport system.
