FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter has sent Prince William of Wales a letter wishing him the best for his forthcoming nuptials with Miss Catherine Middleton.
In doing so, the FIFA President also took the opportunity to thank his Royal Highness for his work as the figurehead President of The Football Association.
In his letter, Blatter thanked Prince William for the “passion and commitment” he has shown for the sport, and underlined his “support for its development at the grassroots level” as especially valuable in “ensuring a bright future” for football.
“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you (...) for the passion and commitment you have shown for the game of football” Joseph S. Blatter.
Prince William and Miss Middleton’s wedding will take place on Friday 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in England.
The British Royal Family invited 1900 guests to attend the ceremony, which will be broadcast live on The Royal Channel.
The Dean of Westminster will conduct the service, while the Archbishop of Canterbury will marry the couple.
The Bishop of London, who officiated Diana Princess of Wales’ Memorial Service, will give the address.
