The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the Black Stars will pitch camp in Tamale ahead of next month's 2010 joint Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier against Mali in Bamako.
The Stars are expected to begin camping later this month in the Northern part of Ghana and will play Uganda on 30 May in an international friendly.
The team will leave for Bamako on 6 June and play the Eagles the next day.
It is explained that similarities in weather conditions influenced the decision to pitch camp in Tamale.
"We are informed the temperature in Bamako is about 40 Degree Celsius and that of Tamale is similar. We begin camping on May 22 and will play Uganda eight days later." GFA President Nyantakyi told the Ghana News Agency.
Ghana will later play Sudan in Omdurman on 20 June.
