The Black Stars are already stepping up preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar later this year.
Following a poor display in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the team has been under the tutelage of former Ghana international, Otto Addo.
Addo has been working closely with assistants, George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani while Chris Hughton has been the technical advisor of the team.
Under the Borussia Dortmund gaffer's management, Ghana has played four games so far - the doubleheader against Nigeria in March while also playing Madagascar and Central African Republic in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
The Black Stars are currently in Japan, where they will be involved in the 2022 edition of the Kirin Cup, which will involve the host, Japan, Chile and Tunisia.
In Addo's four games in charge of the Black Stars, only two players have played all minutes available while just eight players have had minutes in all four games.
Here's a breakdown of the players with the most minutes under the Otto Addo-led technical team.
- Gideon Mensah
The defender is one of two players to play in all four games and end up playing 90 minutes in all. Mensah has amassed a total of 360 minutes since Otto Addo took charge. During that time, the left-back has proved to be one of the vital players for the head coach, who has also utilised him in several positions in different games.
- Daniel Amartey
Leicester City's Daniel Amartey is another player to have played all minutes available under Otto Addo. Amartey featured in both games against Nigeria while also featuring against Madagascar and Central African Republic. He has also played a total of 360 minutes in that run.
- Mohammed Kudus
After missing the AFCON earlier this year, Mohammed Kudus has been at the service of the Black Stars since then. The youngster has been available for selection since Otto Addo took over. He has completed the game on two occasions (vs Nigeria in Kumasi and vs CAR). Kudus has played 340 minutes in that run boasting two goals and one assist.
- Felix Afena-Gyan
Just like Kudus, Felix Afena-Gyan became available for the Black Stars in March after he deemed the earlier call-up as being too early. The AS Roma forward scored his maiden Black Stars goal in the game against Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on June 1. The youngster has 333 minutes under his belt with the national team.
- Denis Odoi
Called into the team as one of the newest faces, the Club Brugge star has played all but one of Ghana’s games so far since making his debut against Nigeria. He shares this spot with Joojo Wollacott with both players commanding 270 minutes.
Players to have had minutes in all four games include; Gideon Mensah, Amartey, Kudus, Baba Iddrisu, Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Osman Bukari and Felix Afena Gyan.
