In less than 24 hours to the much-anticipated Ghana vs Nigeria match, Joy Sports has reported that Black Stars midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh is injured.
In a tweet, Joy Sports' Owuraku Ampofo said information available to him indicates that the midfielder injured his right thigh 15 minutes to the end of Thursday's training.
"He left the stadium with his thigh strapped with ice," he added.
Social media users have reacted to this recent development. They are not optimistic about Kofi Kyereh featuring in the game against the Super Eagles today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Information circulating is that Kofi Kyereh is not part of the squad training ahead of the evening match this morning.
A section of the users is praying for his speedy recovery. Concerns shown go to prove that the midfielder plays a vital role in the team.
In a satire, some users are pointing fingers at Dede Ayew for the unfortunate incident. They say Kofi Kyereh got injured because Dede Ayew, who has been suspended from featuring in the game, visited the team yesterday.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has not made any official statement to the recent happenings. The line up for tonight's game has also not been disclosed.
