Young sensational artiste, Black Sherif has released the remix to his highly acclaimed 'Second Sermon', a sequel to his viral maiden single that introduced him to the music scene.
The song features Nigerian Afrobeat star, Burna Boy, who was seen jamming to the original song in a viral video sometime in October.
Second Sermon remix was released at midnight of December 8, 2021, and has over 100,000 downloads on Audiomack and over 50,000 views on YouTube.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz, Black Sherif narrated how he got Burna Boy on the remix of Second Sermon.
He explained that, “Burna reached out when he heard about the song. He reached out to us on Whatsapp. He said he liked the song and said if he comes to Ghana, we’ll actually work on the song”.
An expectant Black Sherif assumed that the Nigerian star would show up in Ghana much later due to his busy schedule.
However, Burna Boy could not wait so he recorded his verse for the remix while on tour in New York.
Team Black Sherif were impressed with the verse from the ‘African Giant’, leading to them finalizing the song with a little twist to Blacko’s original verse on Second Sermon, and an introduction of a second verse to end the remix.
