Bishop N.A. Tackie-Yarboi, the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Victory Bible Churches International (VBCI), has fulfilled a promise he made to the neurosurgery unit at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital by donating four new monitors and brackets.
This generous donation comes as a result of Bishop Tackie-Yarboi's surgery in 2023, during which he pledged to support the unit. The aim is to address a critical need within the neurosurgery department at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The addition of these monitors will enhance patient care by allowing for closer post-surgery monitoring. This improvement could potentially increase the unit's capacity to perform operations simultaneously, thereby saving more lives.
During the presentation, Bishop Tackie-Yarboi expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the medical team at the neurosurgery unit for their dedication and commitment to their work.
He emphasised that this gesture was not only a fulfillment of his pledge but also a token of gratitude for the team's tireless efforts in saving lives.
“This donation is to fulfill my pledge to you and the unit for your selfless dedication to me during the surgery last year. I must say your work is very delicate and requires a lot of dedication,” he remarked.
“I am grateful once again for your attention to detail which ensured the success of the procedure. Thank you and God bless you for allowing your expertise to be used to save lives,” Bishop Tackie-Yarboi added.
The esteemed clergyman expressed optimism that the donated equipment would not only save lives but also enhance the efficiency of the medical team at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital's neurosurgery unit.
Dr. Patrick Bankah, the acting head of the neurosurgery department at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Bishop N. A. Tackie-Yarboi and Victory Bible Church International for their generous donation.
He emphasised the significant impact the new equipment would have on the unit's ability to carry out its life-saving work.
Dr. Bankah highlighted the importance of such contributions in bolstering the healthcare sector and urged other compassionate individuals to follow Bishop Tackie-Yarboi's example by supporting initiatives aimed at improving medical services and saving lives in Ghana.
