The Most Rev. John Baptist Attakruh , Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi has commissioned an ultra-modern water project for the Holy Child College of Education in Takoradi.
Bishop Attakruh explained that water is a wonderful sign of love and cleansing. He was therefore grateful to the Management of the College for the project.
Dr. Francis Hull Adams, the Acting Principal of the College highlighted on the benefit of the project to the community.
He was hopefully that the water project will solve the perennial water crisis that the college experience each year.
Dr. Adams used the occasion to express his gratitude to the Management of the College, the student body, the staff and all those who helped in making the project a reality.
Nana Osei Bonsu, Chief Estate Management Assistant, explained that the newly commissioned water project has the capacity to produce a total of five hundred bags of water a day.
The water project which took two months to be completed consist of a borehole and a sachet water production unit at the cost of about GHS250,000.
Present at the commissioning ceremony were, Kojo Prah; Acting Vice Principal, Rev. Sr. Joana Duker; Acting College Secretary, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Dolphyne; College Chaplain, Emmanuel Gillette; a tutor and some members of the Governing Council and a section of the students body led by Lawrencia Ewurama Akuoko; SRC President.
