A commercial vehicle travelling to Bawku in the Upper East Region, has been ambushed by armed men at Binduri.
The driver was killed instantly on the scene while several others sustained injuries.
Over 29 people were reportedly killed by armed men in 12 separate incidents on the Pusiga, Gbintiri, Sabongari, Bunkpurugu, Walewale-Bawku, and Bawku-Cinkasse roads in the Upper East and Northeast regions between 5 September 2022 and 8 February 2023.
