The second edition of the Ghana Golf Awards is set to be attended by an impressive list of dignitaries in business, security and chieftaincy.
The event is slated for Saturday, December 27, at the Events Haven at the Trade Fair Site in Accra.
Amongst the dignitaries expected to grace the awards are the life patron of the event Okyehene; Amoatia Ofori Panin, Sir Sam Jonah, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Vice Admiral Mathew Quarshie, and CAL Bank Director, Frank Brako Adu Jnr.
The Chief Executive Officer of Primeval Media Ghana limited, Opare Otto says the event will see a marked improvement over the previous one.
“There is no sporting event in this country that awards its participants, not even football but, golf is doing it for the second time in history.
“This Saturday’s event will be the biggest Christmas event to end the year and also likely to gather all golfers in the country and beyond,” he added.
Amongst the award categories are Amateur Golfer of the year for male/ female, Most Improved Golfer for male/female, Most Promising Golfer for male/female, Junior Golfer of the year for male/female, Senior Golfer of the year for male/female, Pro Golfer of the year, Golf Personality of the year and the Golfer of the year 2014.
