Six incredible and outstanding young chefs are left to battle for the ultimate prize of Joy Prime’s Big Chef culinary contest as they throw viewers back to the traditional Ghanaian kitchen.
After twelve weeks of dazzling the judges with amazing prowess in the kitchen, six out of the twelve that began the competition have qualified to justify themselves and prove their strength as potential winners of the season.
Unlike the previous editions, this year’s finals come with a different look and feel, as all contestants are expected to lock laddles in a traditional style according to the challenge of the day.
All finalists are required to enact a typical Ghanaian traditional kitchen and cook their preferred cultured dish using all products from sponsors, ensuring that all the dishes taste local and providing a name for the cooked meals.
Ahead of the final showdown on Sunday, June 9, 2024, the contestants spoke during their road to the finals edition on Joy Prime.
“I’m bringing my A game this finals, so expect something massive like samcious and delicious, and expect anything good about meals from me,” Phyllis, a finalist, assured.
“Expect nothing but something best, and please vote for me,” Chef Fidaus pleaded.
From Chef Mawudem “I’m the last man standing, so you have to vote for me and let me win. Let me be the first male to win Big Chef season three.”
“In Big Chef season 3, I’m the local girl here. So, please, I can see that this finals, I’ll do my best in local dishes,” says Chef Jessica.
Chef Naa Dede says she “wants everyone to expect something special, more vhim, plenty of good meals, and they should keep on voting for me.”
“I want you guys to expect something massive from me because I’m the one bringing the crown to Trust Well School, my church, and my area,” Chef Emerald poised.
The contestants have voiced their assurance, but who will truly wow the judges with the best and unbeatable Ghanaian traditional dishes to clinch the ultimate prize and goodies from sponsors?
Don’t miss the season’s finale with the host, Michelle Agyekum, which comes off this Sunday at 5 p.m. prompt at the Joy FM premises as the finalists battle their way to stardom and become the next best kiddie chef in Ghana.
Fans and beloved ones are entreated to vote for their favourite by dialing *711*60# and follow the procedure required.
