Black Stars midfielder Bernard Mensah was on target for his new side Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig.
Besiktas won their first league game of the season beating fellow title rivals Trabzonspor 3-0.
Mensah scored from spot in the second half to double his side's lead, a strike that sandwiched goals from Tyler Boyd and Jermain Lens on either halves.
Besiktas missed out on the Super Lig by seven points last season and as a resulted dipped into the market for Mensah who scored five goals and eight assists with Turkish side Kayserispor.
