Six young people met their untimely death early this morning when a Benz bus with registration number ER 9815 C ran into them near the Awudome cemetery.
Eye witnesses say about eighty boys and girls from Bubiashie, a suburb of Accra were engaged in a dawn keep fit exercise and were jogging by the cemetery when the accident occurred.
More than twelve of them were rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Two persons died on the spot and four others were confirmed dead at the hospital.
Meanwhile the Kaneshie Police has begun investigations into the incident.
