Former black princesses coach ben fokuo believes the current management of the Ghana Football Association are focused on developing local coaches to the highest level after appointing local coaches to take over the various national teams
The All Africa Games silver medalist assistant coach in an interview a fortnight ago was in the news for his displeasure on how the technical committee failed to re appoint him after applying for the of the vacant national teams position
Speaking to Asempa sports, the former bofoakwa tano and ghapoha fc player said, although he believed he was given a raw deal, it is still an undeniable fact that the FA has good plans for local coaches especially he himself
According to him, he is a beneficiary of the Ghana Football Association thoughtful thinking and benevolence and said the GFA had no deliberate policy of denying local coaches the opportunity to coach any of the national teams as perceived by some football fanatics.
But rather, the ultimate objective of this administration " is to see local coaches handle the national teams with valid and recognized coaching certificates, hence ,the numerous courses organized for us for some time now in Ghana and Europe should be applauded" he told Asempa Sports
