Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and NEPAD has called on the international media to be fair in their reportage on Africa and concentrate their reports on the positive developments on the continent.
A statement issued by the Ministry on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 said Ms Botchwey made the remarks when she interacted with the international media after the Eighth Africa Partnership Forum (AFP) meeting held in Berlin, Germany, May 22-23.
The AFP is a key forum for discussion and monitoring at a senior political level of policy issues, strategies and priorities in support of Africa's development.
The eighth AFP session discussed four main thematic areas namely, peace and security in Africa, climate change, investment and gender.
