A funeral service has been held for BBC TV presenter Komla Afeke Dumor by the British Broadcasting Corporation.
The service was held at London’s St Martin-in-the-field Church, Trafalgar Square on Saturday.
It was attended by family, friends and colleagues of the late Komla Dumor. Chief Executive of Multimedia Group Limited Kwasi Twum was represented by the Chief Operating Officer of MultiTV, Klaus Von Backustein, at the service. The late broadcaster cut his teeth in journalism at Joy FM, a lead brand of Multimedia Group Limited.
Komla Dumor who was with the BBC World Service and Focus on Africa died of cardiac arrest on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at age 41.
Josephine Hazeley, deputy editor of the BBC Africa Service, paid tribute to a man "who represented all that is good in Africa".
The mortal remains of Komla would be brought home to Ghana this week. A family source told myjoyonline.com he would be buried at Aflao in the Volta Region.
