Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has commended Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, for his policy initiatives, describing them as critical for driving Ghana’s development.
Addressing a mini rally in Abuakwa South on Wednesday, Kufuor lauded Dr Bawumia’s innovative approach to governance, emphasising his capacity to tackle the nation’s challenges.
He pointed to Bawumia’s economic expertise and track record as key assets for securing Ghana’s progress.
The former President urged voters to rally behind Dr Bawumia in the upcoming elections, stressing that his leadership offers a clear path to sustainable growth and prosperity.
Mr Kufuor expressed confidence in the NPP flagbearer’s ability to transform Ghana’s economy and improve the lives of its citizens.
“I have been paying attention. Bawumia’s policies, particularly his focus on training the youth in entrepreneurial and digital skills, are good. If you don’t want this, what do you want? So I plead with you, he is not just coming for the NPP but for the whole country."
“He is coming for an inclusive government. His policies will alleviate the suffering of Ghanaians. I have listened to all those talking about their policies, but I haven’t seen anyone with policies as good as Bawumia’s,” he stated.
