First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has urged voters in the Odododiodoo constituency to cast their ballots for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the presidential election on 7th December.

Speaking to supporters during a campaign stop in Agbogbloshie, Accra, she stressed that Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate to continue the work started by her husband, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

During her address, Mrs. Akufo-Addo emphasised the importance of sustaining key policies such as the Free Senior High School programme, which she credited as one of the administration’s most transformative achievements.

She believes that Dr. Bawumia is committed to preserving and building upon these initiatives for the benefit of all Ghanaians.

She described Dr. Bawumia as a leader with both intelligence and vision, particularly praising his economic acumen and experience.

According to Mrs. Akufo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia’s track record in economic management demonstrates his capability to steer the country towards sustained progress and prosperity.

“My husband, Akufo-Addo, introduced the Free SHS policy despite scepticism. He has rolled it out perfectly well over the last eight years, and the only one to continue this legacy is Dr. Bawumia. We know the roots of the policy, and it is only the NPP that can continue it effectively for progress."

“Dr. Bawumia is God’s gift to Ghana, and he is incomparable. He is the one who can ensure Ghana progress. Let us not be deceived into changing the NPP government. We must vote for continuity for the betterment of Ghana,” she stated.
