Nana Barima Osei Hwedie II, the Chief of Ejura in the Ashanti Region, has eulogised the Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his trustworthy leadership and commitment to the development of Ejura and the country at large.
The Chief noted that Dr Bawumia is a man of his word and, therefore can be trusted to deliver on his promises.
He also commended Dr Bawumia’s Running mate, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for his frankness and outstanding achievements, particularly in the education and energy sectors.
Nana Barima II was speaking at a durbar held on Thursday, August 29, within the Ejura Sekyidumase Constituency and attended by traditional rulers, Imams, opinion leaders, representatives of identifiable groups, market women, students and residents in the community, to welcome Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and his entourage.
“I know Dr Bawumia personally and have worked with him. I can say on authority that he is a man who can be trusted to do what he says he will do. We can all attest to the fact that when he said he would tackle the Ejura water crisis, he delivered.
“When he also promised to build a hospital for us, he delivered. I can go on and on. When we vote for him to be President, Ejura and Ghana will see a massive transformation. Dr Bawumia is also receptive. So, I can go to his office anytime to demand our share of the national cake”, he said.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh also known as NAPO took his tour to Anyinasu and Sekyedumase where he held community engagements with traditional authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
He solicited support for his boss, Dr Bawumia, and the party’s parliamentary candidate, Gifty Mboma, who is said to reclaim the Ejura-Sekyidumase seat for the governing NPP.
The NPP Running Mate proceeded to the Afigya-Sekyere East and Kwabre East constituencies, also holding community engagements with the Chiefs, religious leaders and other stakeholders in the Agona, Wiamoase, Abira and Kenyase communities.
While touting the unmatched record of the New Patriotic Party, NAPO rallied the people to support the vision of Dr. Bawumia and his bold solutions for Ghana.
He appealed to them to vote overwhelmingly for the party’s parliamentary candidates, Mavis Nkansah Boadu for Afigya Sekyere East and Onyiwa Acheampong for Kwabre East.
