Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has fulfilled a promise by donating a vehicle to Hilla Limann Senior High School in Gwollu, Upper West Region.
The donation was made in response to a request from the late Paramount Chief of Gwollu, Kuri-Biktie Limann IV, who had asked for the vehicle shortly before his passing.
Dr. Bawumia made the commitment during a visit on June 29, 2024, when he attended the late chief's funeral in Gwollu with a government delegation.
On Thursday, July 25, 2024, Dr. Bawumia officially handed over the keys to a brand-new Nissan Navarra 4WD pickup to the school authorities at the Gwollu Palace. The gesture was well-received by the community.
The chiefs and residents of the Sissala West District praised Dr. Bawumia for quickly delivering on his promise.
Kuoru Osman Deiwia Nankpa III, the Paramount Chief of Pulima, expressed surprise and appreciation for the swift fulfilment of the pledge on behalf of the Paramount Chiefs of Zini, Gwollu, and Pulima.
