Ghana hosted the 7th Zone 2 Swimming and Open Water Championship which attracted the crème de la crème of swimmers from 22 West and Central African countries.
The event which came off at The Trust Emporium at Bukom in Accra. provided a platform for Ghana to showcase its young and budding swimming stars.
The competition which was from March 5 to 8, gave talents including Abeiku Jackson, Kaya Forson, Maayaa Ayawere, Niklas Yeboah, Kow Jackson and many more the opportunity to shine.
In attendance were high ranking dignitaries from the African governing body of swimming (CANA), Executive of the Ghana Swimming Authorities (GSA); the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA)the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Mayor of Accra and of course, officials of BANK OF AFRICA.
