The spokesperson for the Bawumia Campaign has described the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, as the worst in the House’s history.
According to Denis Miracles Aboagye, the controversy in Parliament over the four vacant seats ruling could have been resolved amicably but claims Mr. Bagbin’s inefficiency hindered this outcome.
“In parliament, in the rules, there's a seating position in this particular parliament for the NPP… This speaker will go down in history as the worst speaker of parliament we've ever had,” he said.

He made these remarks on Newsfile on Saturday, November 11, while indicating that the restoration of seating arrangement will bring sanity.
The Supreme Court has already directed the Speaker to stay the execution of the ruling following a case filed by the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.
Earlier on the show, the Majority Leader accused the Speaker of superintending the chaos and explained that his side chose not to attend the House during the recall due to intelligence suggesting that violence could occur.
In light of this, Mr. Aboagye commended the NPP MPs for what he called a demonstration of emotional intelligence in managing the situation.
However, he urged the Speaker to act in accordance with the apex court's ruling and recognise the NPP legislators as the Majority side to ensure smooth government operations.
"What this country needs, like President Kufour said yesterday, is a speaker that would realise that we have a very small matter that requires leadership to deal with the matter."
