Midfielder Andre Ayew is set to complete a four-year free agent deal with Italian giants, AS Roma.
It is understood that the out-of-contract Olympique Marseille winger who had reportedly given Roma a Champions League condition a couple of months ago, has favoured a move to the Italian capital ahead of offers from Premier League clubs and the Bundesliga.
Reports claim the Ghana international is holding out for a net annual salary of nearly €3 million to complete the deal that will span for four seasons.
Meanwhile, a leading football agent, Bruno Satin, has fuelled speculations that the 25-year-old is indeed set for a move to Rome.
”I know Ayew has an agreement with Roma which is linked to the team’s achievement of a Champions League place,” Satin said in an interview with Tele Radio Stereo.
”He is an excellent soccer player, able to score six/seven goals per season and provides a significant number of assists. If it is sealed, then Roma will have done a great deal.”
Andre Ayew spent over ten years with boyhood club Olympique Marseille.
