Ghana coach Avram Grant is delighted with the inclusion of the four debutants he called up for Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Mauritius.
According to the Israeli, these four players have proven themselves worthy of playing for the national team and their inclusion indicates the door is open for all.
Addressing the media after their first training session in Accra, Avram Grant noted players in the local league are monitored and more could get the breakthrough by dint of hardwork.
“We are following many players in the local league and we have many players on the list and I am very happy with the squad because they have proven themselves since they gained the call up into the team.”
“As long as they have proven themselves, they have the chance to play but the door is always open for everybody and these four players have proven themselves since joining the squad and the door is open for others as well.
“We want to keep the squad with a good with a good energy and I think as long as the players will do well, we will continue but if others improve themselves, they will also be in the squad.”
Avram Grant will be hoping to qualify Ghana for Gabon with a game to spare.
