The Aveyime Cattle Ranch is to be revitalized with high meat yielding breed of cattle and a quality meat production centre.
Mr Raymond Okudzeto, Founder and President of Volta Foundation, a developmental NGO announced this at the second anniversary celebrations of the Foundation at Keta at the weekend.
Mr Okudzeto who is also Chairman of the ranch said it had the potential to meet domestic meat requirements as well as for exports.
He said management of the Foundation last year, undertook feasibility studies into large-scale Jatropha plantation to establish bio-diesel production centres in the region as alternative source of renewable energy.
Mr Okudzeto hinted that a team of Spanish investors would be in the country soon to assess the viability of the Jatropha project in the region after which the Foundation would sign agreements with communities that would agree in principle to provide land towards the establishment of Jatropha farms.
He called for massive investments to develop the tourism potentials in the Keta area as part of the Keta Restoration project.
Mr Edward Ahiabor, Keta District Chief Executive advised the people to refrain from sand winning along the sea defence wall.
He reminded them of the devastation of large parts of the area prior to the construction of the defence wall.
Togbe Kporku V, Chief of Alakple, noted that the Volta region required peace and tranquillity to develop.
