An Australian support base in South Africa is planning to throw a party for the players and supporters of the Black Stars on Friday, just a day before the Stars play the socceroos in the crucial second Group D match. The Australians were walloped by a stronger German side who scored four goals whilst Ghana put up a spirited performance to beat Serbia by a lone goal in the other Group D match. The Australian fans believe it is all over for the Socceroos, and believe the game against the Black Stars on Saturday should be an easy one for the Stars. Speaking to the Super Morning Show host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah on Monday, Joy Sports editor and correspondent in South Africa, Ernest Koranteng said the Australian fans are bent on organizing the party for the Black Stars. They told Koranteng “they are not concerned about the results; they don’t think the Australia team can match the Ghana team but they want us to jubilate before the match is played.” The Ghana supporters are relishing to be part of the party but certainly not the Black Stars players, who say they are taking their games one at a time. Meanwhile, South African supporters are also proposing a joint training schedule between the Black Stars of Ghana and Bafana Bafana of South Africa. The supporters are also fascinated about the performance of the Black Stars and believe a few training sessions with the Stars will offer the Bafana Bafana the needed tips for an outstanding performance.
