The Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God Church on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama, to congratulate him on his electoral victory.
General Superintendent of the church, Reverend Stephen Wengam who led the delegation assured the president-elect that the church will “at all times stand firm with him in his quest to reset and lead Ghana as its next head of state.”
A member of the Assemblies of God church, Mr. Mahama who was joined by his wife, Lordina, expressed appreciation to the church for its continuous support and guidance over the years.
He also gave the church leaders a firm assurance to lead the country with honesty and always be truthful to Ghanaians.
Reverend Wengam prayed for the newly elected president, his family, and staff.
